Welcome to Granger United Methodist Church

At Granger United Methodist Church we believe God has a purpose and a plan for every life. Life teaches us that at times the plan God has for our lives can get sidetracked by painful experiences, grief and our desire to do our own thing. But we believe God is always working in our lives attempting to draw us back into God’s life restoring presence.

We affirm that God is at work in the world bringing physical, emotional and spiritual healing, new life and hope to our lives. We believe that this is not only accomplished through the power of God’s Spirit but also through God’s servants.

Come join us at Granger United Methodist Church and experience the life healing, hope and new life that God can bring to your life through his Son, Jesus Christ. Come and discover God’s purpose for your life.

In Christ,
Pastor Doug Lewis

 What We Believe

The beliefs of United Methodists are shared by most other Christians. We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, both human and divine. As United Methodists we believe the Bible contains all things necessary for salvation. We believe that being a Christian is not simply a matter of affirming certain doctrines but rather, entering into a relationship with God in Christ and then continuing to grow in that relationship throughout our lives.

We practice three forms of baptism: sprinkling, pouring and total immersion. As a denomination we baptize both children and adults. In the United Methodist Church we celebrate open communion, which means you do not have to be a United Methodist in order to participate in the Lord’s Supper.
